On May 10, students, staff and donors gathered at Pemberton Woods to celebrate the official opening of the newly refurbished Gudewill Gym. After brief speeches from Head of School, Dr. Glenn Zederayko, and Deputy Head, Chad Holtum, the Senior School’s Games Captains joined the donors on the stage and assisted in the ribbon-cutting performed by Nick Gudewill. Notable guests in attendance included GNS Board Chair Curtis Mundstock, Chair of the GNS Building Committee Blair Robertson, School Architect Chris Rowe, Joanne Chia, James and Lucas Darke, Anna Tieman, Chris, Anne and Cashel Denford, Brian and Jamie Tam, Tom and Rebecka Vesey, Jerry and Sherry Wang and, representing the GNS Parents Auxiliary Council, Lisa Saklas and Nisha Gill. This project is the fourth significant revitalization on the Pemberton Woods campus in the last three years, following the Dining Hall, the Scott Fitness Centre and Music Centre. Each of these renovations was completely funded by philanthropy, and was only made possible through the generosity of the GNS community via major gifts and participation at all levels in the Annual Fund. Because of donors like you, they will be enjoyed by students at PW for generations to come. Thank you!
