Gryphon Gallery
Simon Pearson with science fair exhibit in 1985

Simon James Pearson, D.C. grew up in Victoria, attending Glenlyon/GNS from 1983-89. He was a member of Caister-Mackenzie, receiving Effort awards and top awards at Regional Science Fairs. A huge sailing enthusiast and outdoorsman, Simon went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Victoria and then studied Chiropractic at Western States’ Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.

After working in a chiropractic clinic in Oregon, he decided to move back home to Victoria and open James Bay Chiropractic in the summer of 2002. Since 2011, he has been offering his expertise as co-owner and practitioner at Fix Healthcare in downtown Victoria.

Simon has also been a volunteer Chiropractor with the Vikes for 18 years, working out of the Sports Injury Clinic during the competitive season. Over the years he has worked closely with the cross-country and track teams traveling to many national championships. It was this connection with elite athletes that led to national team selection.

During the last seven years he has been the team chiropractor for Team Canada’s 2017 athletics at the World Track & Field Championships In London, UK; at the 2018 Indoor World Championships in Birmingham; at the 2019 Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru; at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021; at the 2023 World Athletic Championships in Budapest; and most recently treating the aches and pains of track & field athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Way to go Simon! Your important contribution to Team Canada is invaluable and even though we don’t always think about what goes on behind the scenes, it is equally as important as the world class performances of our elite athletes at these meets.
